Algebra, Wednesday 8/28

Today we are continuing to take notes over solving multi-step equations. Today we will be focusing on when there is a fraction or decimal in the equation. You also got your quizzes back today. As I looked at the quizzes, I noticed that many students have the concept of solving equations down, but our real problem is with our integer rules.

So, we will be doing some work with integer rules before the test.

HW: Pg 129 14-38 evens

Algebra, Tuesday 8/20

Wow, we covered a lot of material yesterday! Today we are going to get more practice on what we did in class yesterday. We did one activity today that was individual practice that you checked with a shoulder partner. Next, we did a snake activity with a partner for even more practice.

Remember that your worksheet is due tomorrow and you also have a quiz tomorrow!

HW: 1.4 Wkst (see Monday for a link to the worksheet if you have lost yours)

Geometry, Tuesday 8/20

We took another day to work on Midsegments in triangles. Our warm-up started with a coordinate proof problem and then we did a roundtable activity to get more practice solving for a variable and finding segment lengths. So, no new material! We are just practicing what we just learned.

Because of this, you can have another day on your page 300 homework! If you haven’t done it yet, remember to read the directions. (especially on 24-26)

HW: Pg 300 3-11 and 24-26
