I can’t believe the school year is half over!

Second semester started off with the LPS 8th Grade All-City concert on Thursday, Jan 7.

Hey Everybody,

Welcome back to a new school year at Pound Middle School! I hope everyone got their batteries recharged over the summer and is ready to take on the challenges of creating excellence in music! I certainly had an eventful summer that I won’t soon forget. It was highlighted by a trip to Italy with my son, Evan to visit my older son, Parker who is stationed there in the USN. I spent the rest of my summer playing and teaching music and am excited to begin my 23 year teaching (3rd year at Pound) instrumental music in LPS.

A couple words about the first few days of school:

• You won’t need your instruments on the first day of school. We will hope to get started playing by Friday or Monday that first  week.
• Please make sure your instrument is in good playing condition. There is nothing more frustrating than starting a school year without an instrument.
• Please have reeds, valve oil, rosin, etc. ready to go.
• Let’s Rock!
