Morning Session:

Adventures in MineCraft (Grades 4, 5, 6, & 7)

Instructor: Mr. Mark Danley

Whether it’s your first day or you are a Minecraft pro, this is the course for you.  In this course you will create your own Minecraft Tutorials using Jing. Discover Minecraft tricks even your friends don’t know! Redstone, texture packs, new updates, resource packs and biomes are just some of what you will find in this class that is ALL Minecraft!

MIT Mobile App Development (Grades 6, 7, 8 & 9)

Instructor: Mr. Alan Holdorf

Date: June 11th – June 15th / Time: 9 a.m.- 12 p.m. Noon

Tuition: (NLR – $170) (LR – $85)

Students in this course will learn how to create mobile apps for the Android operating system. Each tutorial includes a guide to building the app in the Designer and Blocks Editor, making the app, and testing with the Emulator. Additional challenging features will be added.

The Exploration of Photoshop (Grades 6, 7, 8 & 9)

Instructor: Mr. Brett Anderson

Date:11th – June 15th / Time: 9 a.m.-12 noon

Whether you’re an experienced “Photoshoper” or beginner – be prepared to learn something new in this interactive Adobe Photoshop course. Students will experiment with creating movie posters, gifs, morphing animals, as well as editing and enhancing personal photos and so much more! Students will learn techniques to create dramatic effects to photos in order to create original pieces of art.

Introduction to Programming Concepts (Grades 6, 7, 8 & 9)

With technology in every part of our lives, programming knowledge is becoming more important for everyone to have. In this exciting week-long course we will be exploring the basic concepts of computer programming by playing some coding games where you will be typing in code rather than using blocks. Sign up if you want to one day be a programmer, or are just interested in seeing how fun coding can be!

Lego Robotics Ev 3 Class

Instructor: Mr. Brent Jarosz 

Date: June 12th – June 16th / Time: 1 p.m.- 4 p.m.

Lego Robotics kits allow students to create the smartest, strongest and most advanced Lego robot ever! LEGO Ev 3 MINDSTORM includes an all-new Ev 3 Intelligent Brick with 32-bit microprocessor, a sound sensor, an ultrasonic visual sensor, an improved touch sensor, an improved light sensor and easy-to-use Windows and Macintosh programming software. Maximum of 16 participants. Students will be required to work with a partner. The course is designed for two students per kit.
