Morning classes:

Adventures in MineCraft (Grades 6, 7, 8 & 9)

Instructor: Mr. Danley

Date: June 5th – June 9th / Time: 9 a.m.- 12 p.m. Noon

Whether it’s your first day or you are a Minecraft pro, this is the course for you.  In this course you will create your own Minecraft Tutorials using Jing. Discover Minecraft tricks even your friends don’t know! Redstone, texture packs, new updates, resource packs and biomes are just some of what you will find in this class that is ALL Minecraft!

(Class is Full) Lego Robotics  (Grades 4, 5, 6, & 7) (Class is Full)

Instructor: Mr. Schinkel and Mr. Sievers

Date:  June 5th – June 9th / Time: 9 a.m.-12 noon

Tuition: (NLR – $170) (LR – $85)

 Lego Robotics kits allow students to create the smartest, strongest and most advanced Lego robot ever! LEGO  EV 3 MINDSTORM includes an all-new EV 3 Intelligent Brick with 32-bit microprocessor, a sound sensor, an ultrasonic visual sensor, an improved touch sensor, an improved light sensor and easy-to-use Windows and Macintosh programming software. Maximum of 22 participants. Students will be required to work with a partner. The course is designed for two students per kit.

Swift Playground (Grades 6, 7, 8 & 9)

Don’t just build with Lego blocks, create and code your own robot, truck, animatronic creature, or other project and watch it come to life! Participants will use the new Lego WeDo 2.0 kits to learn about programming, engineering and technology and create a variety of projects from the ground up, making the robots from Lego pieces, figuring out how to incorporate a motor in their design, and then coding the assembly to run (lots of assembly required).

Introduction to Programming Concepts (Grades 6, 7, 8, 9)

Have you ever had the urge to program an app or make a computer game? With technology in every part of our lives, programming knowledge is becoming more important for everyone to have. In this exciting week-long course we will be exploring the basic concepts of computer programming by writing code in CoffeeScript using the CodeMonkey game. Sign up if you want to one day be a programmer, or are just interested in seeing how fun coding can be!
