Morning Session:

Let’s have fun and play with robots this week.  We will create obstacles courses, shoot some hoops, make music and much more while having fun with robots. We will use Dash, Dot, Ozobots, Spheros and Codeybots.  This will be a fun week of learning while having fun!  We can’t wait for you to join us.!


Lego Robotics Ev 3 Class (Grades 6, 7, 8, & 9)

Lego Robotics kits allow students to create the smartest, strongest and most advanced Lego robot ever! LEGO Ev 3 MINDSTORM includes an all-new Ev 3 Intelligent Brick with 32-bit microprocessor, a sound sensor, an ultrasonic visual sensor, an improved touch sensor, an improved light sensor and easy-to-use Windows and Macintosh programming software. Maximum of 16 participants. Students will be required to work with a partner. The course is designed for two students per kit.


((FULL))Digital Art and Design (Grades 6, 7, 8 & 9)((FULL))

Explore graphic design, animation, and other forms of digital art.  This course focuses on creative expression using Photoshop, PiskelApp, iPad drawing applications, and more.  Learning will be a combination of structured lessons and freedom of choice, culminating with a student-designed final project.


Afternoon Session:

Introduction to Programming Concepts (Grades 6, 7, 8 & 9)

Instructor: Mr. Alan Holdorf

With technology in every part of our lives, programming knowledge is becoming more important for everyone to have. In this exciting week-long course we will be exploring the basic concepts of computer programming by playing some coding games where you will be typing in code rather than using blocks. Sign up if you want to one day be a programmer, or are just interested in seeing how fun coding can be!

Do you like working with clay? Do you like working on computers? Well, this class offers both! In this course, students will create a short animated movie using clay figures and/or objects, taking photographs of them, and importing them into iMovie. Students will also have the opportunity to add sound using GarageBand and editing images in Adobe Photoshop. Come and join the fun!!


Vex Robotics (Grades 6, 7, 8 & 9)

Take your real-world robotics skills to the next level with the VEX Robotics Design System. Build a frame and base for your robot then connect its wires to provide power to your creation. Work in teams to adapt your robot to compete in complex, user-piloted challenges like obstacle courses. Use ROBOTC, the premiere robotics coding language, to code your ‘bot to complete autonomous tasks like maze navigation or stacking and moving objects with the claw arm. May the best ‘bot win!
