In the LPS English Language Learners program, ELL students in levels 1, 2, 3 and 4 are served in the ELL classroom for specialized academic and language acquisition instruction.  ELL students may spend at least half of their day in the general education classroom.  Everett Elementary is a school that will be investing time on learning the SIOP model throughout this year via the SIOP-LPS Institute at Everett and instructional coaching interactions.  SIOP is a researched protocol that has been shown to increase ELL student achievement.
