“Welcome to the 2016 – 2017  school year and to Saratoga, Home of the Saratoga Stars!”

We pride ourselves at being able to offer a safe friendly environment for students and families. When visiting our school, our security entrance is Door #8, located by the north parking lot. There are visitor marked spaces available for visitor parking. Sandra Machovec is our Secured Entrance Monitor.  She will help direct you where you need to go.

Saratoga serves students Pre-school through 5th grade.  We have a free of charge breakfast program for all students that starts at 7:45 A.M.  Saratoga has the benefit of offering Reading Recovery services to students in grade 1.  Students in Kindergarten through 5th grade participate in music, art, media and physical education throughout the week.  Saratoga students have access to a full computer lab plus each grade level has a cart with laptop computers as well as iPads for them to use during class.

The Saratoga staff works together to help students learn life skills.  We use the P.B.I.S (Positive Behaviors Interventions and Supports) and B.I.S.T. (Behavior Intervention Support Team) programs to help students learn these skills.  Our students learn expectations while being protected.  They know that it is never okay to be hurtful or disruptive.

The Lena Merrill Community Learning Center provides year round programs to our families through educational, social, mental health, and recreational services. The Community Learning Center works in partnership with Lincoln Family Services and Lincoln Public Schools Federal Programs. Please contact me with any questions or comments.

Mission Snapshot: (This is recited by our staff and students at our bi-monthly, Friday rap meetings; which is an all school assembly strengthening our school community.)

“The mission of every student, parent and staff is to learn. We know effort works and we give 100%!”
