Prairie 4.4.1 Recognize the living & nonliving factors that impact the survival of organisms in an ecosystem. (SC 5.3.3c) 4.1.1 – Identify the role of organisms as producers, consumers, decomposers in a grassland ecosystem. (SC 5.3.3.b) 4.1.2 – Identify the role of herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores in a prairie ecosystem. 4.1.4 – Diagram and explain a simple food chain beginning with the sun (SC 5.3.3.a) 4.1.5 – Diagram and explain the flow of energy through a simple food web (SC 8.3.3.a)
Ecosystems 4.4.1 Recognize the living & nonliving factors that impact the survival of organisms in an ecosystem. (SC 5.3.3c) 4.4.2 Describe adaptations made by plants or animals to survive. 4.4.3 Recognize the difference between weather, climate, and seasons. 4.4.4 Analyze the impact of both natural changes and human intervention on different ecosystems. 4.4.5 – Identify grassland organisms as predator and prey.
Space 4.3.1 Name and describe the parts of the solar system. 4.3.3 Describe the motion of objects in the sky such as sun, moon, planets, and stars. 4.3.4 Recognize that the shape of the moon changes from day to day on a monthly cycle.
Electricity 4.2.1 Construct and design simple circuits. 4.2.2 Differentiate between a series and a parallel circuit. 4.2.3 Classify different materials as conductors or nonconductors. 4.2.4 Determine and assess the dangers of electricity. 4.2.5 Recognize that the transfer of electricity in an electrical circuit requires a closed loop. (SC 5.2.3.f) 4.2.7 Identify relationships of electric interactions between two objects not in contact with each other (3-PS2-3)
