Monday, May 13th

  • Game Design – Lesson 5 Variables
    • Students will:
      • Know how to assign a sprite to a variable
      • Understand how to use dot notation to update a sprite’s properties
      • Be able to create a static scene combining sprites, shapes, and text

Tuesday, May 14th

  • Game Design –  Lesson 6 Sprites
    • Students will:
      • Know how to assign a sprite to a variable
      • Understand dot notation to update a sprite’s properties
      • Be able to create a static scene combining sprites, shapes, and text

Wednesday, May 15th

  • Game Design – Lesson 7 Draw Loop
    • Students will:
      • Know what an animation is and how it creates the illusion of smooth motion
      • Understand how the draw loop allows for the creation of animations in Game Lab
      • Be able to use the draw loop in combination with the randomNumber() command, shapes, and sprites to make simple animations

Thursday, May 16th

  • Game Design – Lesson 9 Sprite Movement
    • Students will:
      • Know what the counter patter is
      • Understand which sprite properties need to be changed, and in what way, to achieve a specific movement
      • Be able to use the counter pattern to increment or decrement sprite properties

Friday, May 17th

  • Game Design – Lesson 11 Conditionals
    • Students will:
      • Know simple boolean statements
      • Understand how to predict the output of simple boolean statements
      • Be able to use conditionals to react to changes in variables and sprite properties
