Supplies
As required by state law and Lincoln Public Schools policy, Rousseau will provide all school supplies required of students. For those who prefer to bring their own supplies, the following items should prove helpful:
- Students will be required to use Rousseau 5th grade planners, which will be given to them on the first day of school.
- Due to storage restrictions in the portables we are asking that students do not have large trappers. Instead, a 2 inch binder with either 5 three hole punched pocket folders or 5 dividers with pockets would be a better selection.
- Wide ruled lined notebook paper for the binder as well as a small zippered pencil pouch that would fit into the binder with a few pencils & a checking pen would suffice.
- If students would like to purchase their own spiral notebooks, 3 wide ruled notebooks should get them through the year.
- A box of tissue and clorox wipes would also help us get through cold and flu season!
- We will have a water cooler available for students to use in the portables, but we are asking that the students fill their water bottle at home in the morning and then fill it as needed during the day from the coolers. If you would like to send small “dixie” cups that would be appreciated!
Please do NOT bring:
- Staplers
- White out
- Sharpies
- Toys or trinkets of any kind
- Pencils with toys or trinkets on top
