West Lincoln ELL by the numbers

28 students tested out in July 2012

147 students are in ELL k-5 levels 1-5

26 kg students

44 1st  grade students

24 2nd grade students

17 3rd grade students

41 4th grade students

15 5th grade students

Out of 423 total students at West Lincoln

208 Speak English at home *I know that 8 of these English families also speak another language. 47% of our students speak only English at home

215 students come from families that do not speak English at home.  Some of these families speak 2 or more languages.   53% of our students speak a language other than English.

13 Vietnamese speaking students

We have 5 official ELL teachers, however with over 223 students in the school that come from homes that do not have English as their first language, we are all ELL teachers.  Thankfully we do all have English as our common language!
