Family Literacy- I Am Poems

One of the great benefits of being an ELL teacher is that we also have parents learning English as well.  Our school was fortunate to also have a Family Literacy program to help our student’s parents learn English along side their children.   Our Family Literacy teacher is Suzanne Plass.  Her adult learners wrote and recorded I Am poems using their newly acquired English skills.  I am so excited to share what these parents worked hard to complete.  How many of us could or would do this same project in another language?  Education is such a gift
