Last night my son was so excited because his teacher had recorded the NeSA rap we just had to watch it. His excitement for taking test got my brain to thinking, what could I do to help my ELL students get excited for ELDA? My son reminds me of many of my ELL students, they do not like tests, but they know that their teachers want them to do well so they try their best to please their teachers.
So I decided to use parts of the NeSA Rap created by our LPS Reading liaisons and make an ELDA version. It is not perfect but hopefully it will motivate our ELL students to try their best and let them know that we really do care about them, even though they have to take another test.
