Welcome Back to School!
I am so glad to be back and for my first update I have a HUGE CeLeBrAtIoN for us to celebrate!!! We had an AmAzInG turnout at Open House tonight, but that is not it.
We just got our Elementary ELL Exit List from the District office this afternoon. We had 38 Level 4, 5 and 6 students complete all of the requirements to be be able to “lose” their ELL label in grades K-5. This was based on ELL level, ELDA test, Statewide writing test, Report card data and CRT results. We had the second most students at the elementary level. Everett had 48, us and and then Clinton had 37 students exit, but I am not counting, am I??? We also had 6 students who are now attending other schools who also exit the program.
This is the biggest EXIT list we have EVER had at WEST LINCOLN. CONGRATULATIONS to the students and thank you to the TEACHERS (Classroom, Lit support, ELL, SPED, Paras and Admin) for helping these students. It took a village to teach these kiddos!!
