Daily Math Routines

Here are some of the components of our daily math routines!  The students are in charge of leading these routines and recording their learning.  These photos show what it looks like at the beginning of the year!  View the video to see what it looks like towards the end of the year!  End of Year Math Routines

 

This is our attendance board.  Every day we count how many students are not here, have hot lunch, or have cold lunch.  We compare numbers and love to make groups of ten!

This is our 120 chart.  Each day we circle a new number.

Each day we add one more penny.  We enjoy counting them and writing equations about them.

During calendar time we play "What goes there"?  and predict the number and picture in the pattern.  We sing about the days of the week and months of the year, and we end by singing the days date.
