The following are Red Cross prerequisites in order to take Life Guarding class.
300 yard swim with out stopping:
100 yards freestyle
100 yards breaststroke
100 yards either free or breast, or a combination of the two
Swim from shallow end of pool to deep end of pool, surface dive down to bottom of pool to retrieve brick, swim on back using the breststroke kick, while holding brick with both hands above water in 1:40.
