Today’s Learning: What is the role of religion in society?
Warm Up: Please use the What is Buddhism? video – to corroborate the information in the corresponding column on yourWorld Religions graphic organizer. Add/amend information as needed.
Class Work: Please work with your assigned travel partner to use Google Classroom on your Chromebooks to research Buddhism and complete the corresponding column on yourWorld Religions graphic organizer quietly and independently.
Please attach yourWorld Religions graphic organizer to p. 63 with a hinge.
Standard 4.1 Summative Assessment: On a sheet of notebook paper, please write a paragraph (at minimum) explaining how religion impacts a culture. Include examples from the four religions we have reviewed (World Religions graphic organizer, notebook p. 63) that address the four ways religion plays a role in society (Role of Religion Notes, notebook p. 60). When finished, make sure your name is on your paper and hand in on the front table.
