Today’s Learning: How does the Han Dynasty compare with the other classical empires we have studied?

Warm Up: Please list characteristics of empires – you should be able to come up with five or six (see p. 22 of your notebook) – AND cite specific examples of those characteristics from the three empires – Greece, Persia, Rome –  we have studied to date on p. 54 of your notebook.

Class Work: Share your responses to the warm up with your table/travel partner.

Please close read – highlight, underline, annotate – Student Reading: Han Dynasty. As you read, please put a “+” next to information that is similar to other empires – Greece, Persia, Rome – you’ve learned about this year; put a “-” next to information that is different from those empires.

Then create a list of similarities and differences on p. 54 of your notebook.
