Warm Up: Please label p.107 of your notebook Columbian Exchange. Then divide the page into two columns. Label one column Old World and the other column New World.
Class Work: Please follow these instructions as we assign the origin of various “goods” to either the Old World (Eastern Hemisphere) or New World (Western Hemisphere).
Add – or make corrections – to your Columbian Exchange list as we view Crash Course World History: Columbian Exchange.
Close read – underline, highlight, annotate – The Columbian Exchange. Then use the resources we have used to learn about the Columbian Exchange to complete the Columbian Exchange: Mind Map. Include FIVE plants and FIVE animals native to each hemisphere.
Describe the stories you hear on today’s CNN 10 on p. 108 of your notebook.
