I attempt to grow a beard every winter. Seldom works out.
I have two kids and will often tell stories about them. Gavin age 9 and Ayla age 6. This is them celebrating after a week at Zoo Camp. They are goofy and they make me smile a lot!.
I appreciate nature and love sharing it with my kids:
I don’t teach Biology but I often try to help students make connections between Biology and Chemistry.
I enjoy community events (I enjoy the people and they are free!). This is what I listen to:
I ride my bike everywhere. My bike is called Big Dummy made by Surly. Often people yell “HEY BIG DUMMY!” I don’t take it personally. The Dummy carries me plus up to 3 passengers on wild adventures year round!

Who doesn’t like to run a little?
Every summer we are often spotted visiting any taco joint/truck on Tuesdays for Taco Tuesdays. We visit arboretums, Sheldon, Morrill Hall, Children’s Museum, Zoo, and the UNL Dairy store for ice cream.
I love cats but I am severally allergic to them. So I just look at cat pictures on the internet. There are more than enough cat pictures on the internet to amuse me the rest of my life.
My favorite part of teaching are the connections with other people. I enjoy getting to know new people. I always learning something new from life experiences and others I encounter. I get a kick out of seeing former students years after they graduate and knowing their name and something about them. Sometimes reconnecting is even better.
Oh, everyone likes food! My favorite meal of the day is breakfast!
