This is my 10th year teaching at Lincoln East. During this time I have taught many courses within social studies, but have tended to focus on Government and Politics. This school year I’m teaching GoPo, APGoPo, Civics D, and Student Council. I graduated from UNL in May 2006 with my Bachelor’s degree in secondary education social sciences. I received my Master’s in Historical Studies from Wesleyan in December 2009.
When I’m not in school, I enjoy running. About 13 years ago I began running to lose weight. My new hobby progressed into me competing in 13 half-marathons and 3 full-marathons. I am currently training for my 14th half-marathon in Lincoln in November. Besides running, I love sports! I am an avid Husker fan and spend too much time following the different Nebraska sports. I also enjoy watching/keeping up with Atlanta Braves baseball and just about any NFL team.

In September 2005, I married my husband, Casey. He is also a UNL graduate with a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Horticulture. Casey currently works for Walmart, as an assistant manager.
