*Choir Club is singing this morning at 7:00 AM in Room 106.

*Student Council will meet this morning from 7:15-7:45.  6th grade meets in Room 138 and 7th/8th grade meets in Room 235.

*Tickets for the 6th grade Halloween dance will be on sale during lunch starting today.  Cost is $3.  The dance will be held tomorrow, October 26th from 4:30-6:00 PM.

*If you had a picture taken at the photo booth in the Media Center during the Scholastic Book Fair, stop by the Media Center to pick it up!

*Like A Girl LPS (Empowerment Club) begins today from 3:15-4:15 PM in Room 229.  Like A Girl club believes all youth, despite their gender, deserve to feel empowered.  When they have the appropriate resources and know their voices matter, they can change our world.  Join Like A Girl LPS, a one of a kind experience that will help you build confidence, tackle gender-based issues, and acquire the necessary tools to stand up for yourself and others.  Piloted at Maxey Elementary School last spring and seeing massive success, we guarantee that you will come out of this program knowing that you are capable of doing absolutely ANYTHING!  This program involves fun, interactive and educational activities that equip future world leaders with knowledge, confidence and a call to action.  We will also be participating in activities through the United Nation’s Foundation Girl Up, a youth-run organization dedicated to advocating, fundraising and bringing awareness to issues girls face throughout the world.     Both boys and girls are welcome to join!  If you didn’t get a registration form on Friday, please see Ms. Moore for more information.

*Robotics Club is meeting tomorrow from 3:-4:30 in Room 103.

*Math Video Challenge meets in Room 228 after school tomorrow from 3:05-4:00 PM.

*Attention all 6th-8th graders!  Are you interested in trying out for the first ever Moore Middle School Science Bowl?  Tryouts start Monday, October 30th in Room 221 after school from 3:00-4:15 PM.  See Mr. Luxford for more information.

*Ready to run like a rafter of turkeys?  Lincoln East High School is hosting their third annual Gobble Wobble 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk on November 18th to raise money for the Nebraska Make A Wish Foundation.  Bring the whole family and your dog too!  Join us for the 5K starting at 10:00 AM and the 1 mile walk starting at 10:45 AM.  Registration forms can be picked up in the office.  The cost is $15, which includes a t-shirt or $10 without a shirt.  Registration forms and payment can be turned in to the Moore office by November 1st which will guarantee you a t-shirt.  You can register after November 1, but you’ll have to return your forms to Lincoln East, and you won’t be guaranteed a t-shirt.  Join us for a day full of photos, snacks, drinks, running and fun to help Lincoln East Student Council grant a wish!
