*Math Video Challenge meets tomorrow, December 7th in Room 228 from 3-4 PM.

 

*Wellness Challenge update #3… Don’t let the cold stop you from being active!  Today you’ll be asked, “What is one way you like to be active inside during the winter months?”  Be thinking about it and be sure to mark in down on your wellness challenge form.  Thanks for participating!

 

*All Science Olympiad tests are cancelled for this week!  There is NO SCIENCE OLYMPIAD this week.  The test over Ecosystems will be held next Tuesday, December 12th and the Solar System test is next Thursday, December 14th.  You can have one sheet of paper both front and back of notes for each test.  Science Olympiad meets in Room 221 from 3-4 PM.  See Mr. Luxford with any questions.

 

*Student Council is sponsoring a food drive here at Moore.  The theme of the food drive is “We can always share MOORE!” and will run next Monday, December 11th –Friday, December 15th.  Each day has a different theme…….

Monday, December 11th:  Morning Monday (cereal, poptarts, oatmeal, granola bars, etc)

Tuesday, December 12th: Souper Tuesday (soup, oyster and saltine crackers)

Wednesday, December 13th: PBJ Wednesday (peanut butter and jelly)

Thursday, December 14th:  Pass the Pasta Thursday (different kinds of pasta and sauces)

Friday, December 15th:  Snack Items Friday (small packets of cheez-its, fruit snacks, etc)

Please bring your food items to your 1st period class.  The first period class that collects the most items will get a prize.

 

*Intramural Drama, Speech and Debate is accepting registrations for all interested 6th, 7th and 8th grade students.  A family information session will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Southeast High School in the auditorium.  Please see the main office or your English teacher for more information or to pick up a registration form.  Information is also available in the Parent Center on the LPS website.

 

*The LPS Oral Spelling Bee will be Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Culler Middle School.  The Spelling Bee is open to students in grades 5-8.  More information is available in the main office or from your English teacher.  Information is also available in the Parent Center on the LPS website.

Eat in another location outside of the cafeteria with 3 friends

Take a 15 minute break with an adult of choice

*Today is a PLC early dismissal day.  We dismiss at 1:38 PM.  The StarTran bus doesn’t run til the normal dismissal time of 2:58 PM.  Students who need to wait for the bus can do so in the cafeteria. Remember, there are no after school clubs or activities on PLC early out days.

 

*Remember to Be Safe, Be Respectful, and Be Responsible.  Earn Pride cards to either win a Moore t-shirt, lunch with 3 friends and an adult of your choice, or a 3-D print of your choice.  Our next drawing will be December 1st.
