*All intramural Cross Country, Volleyball and Soccer team members please report to the gym this morning at 7:50 AM for a yearbook photo.  This includes 6th graders who practiced regularly.

*Choir Club is singing today at 7:00 AM in Room 106.

*Student Council will meet today at 7:15 AM.  6th graders meet in Room 138 and 7th/8th graders in Room 235.

*Tomorrow is the last day for you to turn in your “REACHing for Moore” cards!  The drawing for a Moore T-shirt will take place tomorrow, and the winner will be announced on Friday, October 12th.

*Any student interested in being part of the Moore Wrestling team, please plan to attend an informational meeting tomorrow, October 12th in room 201 after school.  The meeting will last about 15 minutes.  If you are unable to attend, please see Mr. Ruisinger.

*Come to the very first meeting of the Moore Robotics Club tomorrow, October 12th from 3:00-4:30 PM in Room #103.  If you are interested in robotics, you can come to the meeting even if you didn’t sign up at Open House.  See Mr. Powers if you have any questions.

*Do you like math?  Math Video Challenge (a division of MathCounts) is meeting for the first time tomorrow, October 12th from 3:05-4:00 PM in room 228.  Students work in teams to make a creative video explaining a math concept.  Their work is then entered into a nation-wide competition.  See Mrs. Henjes for more information.

*Who needs Starbucks when you have “Moorebucks” Book Club!  They are meeting tomorrow, October 12th from 3:15-4:00 PM to discuss the book “The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind.”

*Are you a 7th grader?  Do you love to sing?  Would you like to get out of school for a day?  If the answer to all of these questions is yes, please attend a brief meeting about 7th Grade All-City Choir on Thursday, October 19th at 7:45 AM in Miss Lambert’s room, 106.

*6th-8th grade boys are invited to attend the Lincoln East Midnight Madness Youth Basketball Celebration on Friday, October 27th.  If you are interested, stop by the main office before or after school or during lunch to pick up a registration form.  Forms should be returned to the Lincoln East Athletic Office by October 20th.

*Today is the last day for the Scholastic Book Fair located in the Media Center.  It’s open from 8:00-2:58 PM.

*September’s female athlete of the month is Hannah Warnke.  Hannah had the fastest time of any Moore student at the girls cross country meet the last three weeks AND  she also competes on the Moore soccer team. Our male athlete of the month is Tre Nash.  Tre has scored 8 goals in 3 games so far this year as captain of the soccer team.  Congratulations to these Moore athletes!

*There is NO Cross Country practice today due to Parent/Teacher Conferences.

*Parent/Teacher Conferences are today.  Last names beginning with the letters M-Z and anyone who did not attend on Monday, September 25th, should attend.  There are no formal sign up times.  6th grade teachers will be in their classrooms, and 7th/8th grade teachers and Elective teachers will be in the lunchroom.  Please limit your conference time to 4-5 minutes per teacher in order to give everyone an opportunity to conference in the time allowed.

*Order your Moore yearbook at Parent/Teacher Conferences today (3:30-6:30 PM)!  You can purchase a yearbook for $25, cash or check (checks payable to Moore Middle School).

*The Scholastic Book Fair is going on in the Moore Media Center today and tomorrow! The Book Fair will be open during the school day and during Parent/Teacher conferences from 3:30-6:30 PM today, September 28th.
