*Celebrate 50 years of Spartan spirit!  In honor of Lincoln East’s 50th anniversary, East cheerleaders will be taking orders for Spartan Spirit t-shirts during both lunches here at Moore today, September 8th.  T-shirt’s cost $12, and cash or checks (made payable to Lincoln East Reserve Cheer) will be accepted.  They will be available for pick-up at Moore the week of September 25th.

*Choir Club members:  Please remember to get your handbook form signed and turned in to Miss Lambert as soon as possible.  Bring forms to Miss Lambert in Room 102 or 106 before or after school or during lunch.

*Calling all students who’ve signed up for a club!  Three clubs are starting next week!  If you signed up for Student Council at one of our Open Houses, the first meeting will be next Wednesday, September 13th from 7:00-7:45 AM.  Sixth graders will report to Rm 138, and 7th/8th graders will go to Rm 235. Student Council is full at this time, and we will let you know if/when we can accept more students.  School of Rock with Mr. Masin begins next Thursday, September 14th from 3:15-4:15 PM in Rm 131.  “Moorebucks” Book Club  also starts next Thursday, September 14th in our library from 3:15-4:00 PM

*Would you like to see your creative work in the yearbook this year?  Well, you can!  Everyone can get involved including students, teachers, and even administrators!  We are having an open contest where you can design a cover for Moore’s very first yearbook!  The theme is “180 Days, 180 Stories.”  Your design is due by September 22nd.  Mrs. Burkey will take all designs in Room 203, or you can submit them to her through email.  We can’t wait to see what you create!

*Fall intramural sports have begun! Please move safely and respectfully to and from your practice area.  This includes the locker rooms and both inside and outside the building. Make sure your rides are here on time after practice. Practices for soccer and volleyball will be Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 3:15-5:00 PM and cross country will practice on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 3:15-4:15 PM.  Game and meet schedules are posted on the Moore website.

You should have received a paper schedule indicating the day and time of your lesson.  Make sure you report to your regularly scheduled class before heading down to Mr. Cardamone’s room, #105.  Please bring your instrument the day of your lesson.  Bring your instrument to Room 107 first thing when you get to school This is going to be a great year!

*Intramural sports begin today.  We’ll start in the cafeteria and then break out into the individual sports.  Soccer and volleyball will go until 5:00 PM and cross country goes until 4:15 PM.  Please have rides ready after practice.   Practices for Soccer and volleyball will be on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and cross country will practice on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.  Game times are posted on the Moore Middle School website.
