*Parent/Teacher Conferences are next week. If your last name begins with A-L, please plan to attend Monday, September 25th between 3:30-6:30 PM. Last names beginning with the letters M-Z should attend on Thursday, September 28th between 3:30-6:30 PM. There are no formal sign up times. 6th grade teachers will be in their classrooms, and 7th/8th grade teachers and Elective teachers will be in the lunchroom. Please limit your conference time to 4-5 minutes per teacher in order to give everyone an opportunity to conference in the time allowed.
*Make sure you order your Moore yearbook at Parent/Teacher Conferences next Monday, September 25th or Thursday, September 28 (3:30-6:30 PM)! You can purchase a yearbook for $25, cash or check (checks payable to Moore Middle School).
*The Scholastic Book Fair is going on in the Moore Media Center next week! The Book Fair will be open during the school day and during Parent/Teacher conferences from 3:30-6:30 PM on Monday, September 25th and Thursday, September 28th.
*There is NO 6th grade band practice after school on Monday, September 25th due to Parent/Teacher conferences.
*Would you like to see your creative work in the yearbook this year? Well, you can! Everyone can get involved including students, teachers, and even administrators! We are having an open contest where you can design a cover for Moore’s very first yearbook! The theme is “180 Days, 180 Stories.” Designs are due TODAY. Mrs. Burkey will take all designs in Room 203, or you can submit them to her through email. We can’t wait to see what you create!
*The Moore staff are proud of the things you do! Please don’t forget to turn in your REACH cards to the cafeteria as soon as you get five. You’ll get a positive parent phone call home, and your name will be added to our drawing for a Moore T-shirt in October.
*Attention 8th graders: The Career Academy (TCA) is hosting a Career Explorations Fair for 8th-10th graders and their parents to learn more about top career options when you graduate high school. Experience the hands-on learning available at TCA and how to “test drive” your future as a TCA student in one of 20 career pathways. Attend the TCA Career Explorations Fair anytime between 1:00-3:00 PM on Sunday, September 24th at 88th and O. Park in the lower south parking lot at SCC. Register for prizes, meet TCA students and instructors, and see how “doing high school differently” can make a huge difference in your future success. We hope to see you there!
