About me

I am a new teacher at Lincoln Northeast teaching Spanish 1 and Spanish 2 for the 2010-2011 school year. Si quieres ser mi amigo en Facebook, lo puedes hacer (www.facebook.com/senormason). I attended LPS for my schooling — going to Pyrtle Elementary, Lux Middle School and Lincoln East High School — before moving on to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where I earned a Bachelor’s of Journalism in 2008. However, I felt that my true calling wasn’t journalism, but instead languages and teaching. So I went back to school and started my Masters of Arts in Education from UNL and hope to finish that within the next year.

I have lived in three countries — USA, Spain and Colombia. My mother is from Colombia, and I grew up speaking and listening to Spanish in the home. However, my travels don’t stop there as I have been to many different countries — seventeen to be exact. (In case you were wondering which ones, here you go … USA, Spain, Colombia, Bolivia, Ecuador, Kosovo, Serbia, Andorra, Canada, England, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, France and Monaco)

I married my lovely wife Lisa in October of 2009.

Lisa and me together in the Haymarket.
