6th Grade Introduction

What are some questions and concerns I can chat with my counselor about? How can my counselor help me?

These are questions that 6th graders and their families might ask as we start a new school year.  There are many different things that come up during the year both in and out of school that students can feel free to take to the counseling office.  Middle school will be a good time in your life but it also has challenges that are unique to your age group.  Never feel like you are alone or have to face an issue by yourself.  There are always options and people ready to help you.  Some of the issues that you might have questions or concerns about might include:

Goal Setting and Planning – Careers – Making New Friends – How to be Safe on Social Media – Building Good Character – Study Skills and Organization – Stress Management – Grief and Loss – Leadership – Making Good Life Choices – School Schedules – School Groups and Activities – And Much More!!!!

You are always welcome at the counseling center, stop by any time you feel you need assistance.  Parents feel free to e-mail or call and we will try our best to assist you.

Thank you,
