Announcements for Parents – #Robinmicklems:

Mickle Parents. Student Council will be hosting after school end of the year parties for each grade level: 8th Grade, May 2nd; 7th Grade, May 9th; 6th Grade, May 16th. The parties will take place from 3-4pm, with all students off campus by 4pm. We will be having a BBQ for the students, serving hot dogs and pop. We would like parent volunteers to start bringing pop, hotdogs, and hotdog buns to the Mickle office for these parties. Thank you. Mickle Student Council. Any questions contact Ms. Wiemer

8th GRADE PARTY:  Anyone interested in helping with food for the 8th Grade Party can contact Sue Sattler at dssattler5@windstream.net or Amy Uhlmann at aluhlmann@hotmail.com.   We are also looking for raffle prizes for the party.  Free food coupons are great.  Gift cards to stores like Best Buy, Bath & Body Works, etc. are great.  Anyone wishing to help with raffle prizes can contact Amy Cink at amycink@live.com.   The next planning meeting will be Thursday, May 3rd at 6:30 p.m. in the Mickle Media Center.

Mickle’s Planner Word of the Week: Punctuality  – Being punctual is easier if you have a realistic schedule! Use your planner’s “Act” area to schedule your weeks and your days.

Thank you to everyone one donated Cans4Books in the media center!  Our winning class is Mr. Burtch’s group 2!  They will be receiving a popcorn party!  Thanks again!  ADDITIONALLY, we will be drawing names for the posters after school TODAY in the media center! MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN/CHOOSE YOUR POSTER

News Club all stories are due WED!!  That’s tomorrow night!  Write Write write!

Good news! The library is holding ANOTHER book fair in the library before and after school May 7-10.  This is a special buy one get one free book fair!  Stock up for summer!  If you would like to volunteer to help, we will have a small prize.  Come sign up in the library!

After school candy bar sales will begin in the month of May.  Student who would like to participate are welcome to bring a $1 for each bar purchased.  A “thank you” coupon for a free order of Pizza Hut breadsticks is printed on the label.

Attention all 8th grade students! There will be an end of the year celebration for all the hard work completed by 8th graders this year. The theme will be an outdoor BBQ, serving hotdogs and pop. There is no money required for the food. There will also be outdoor games and other opportunities for all students. The BBQ will be Wednesday, May 2nd after school from 3-4pm. We ask that all students are off campus by 4pm. Come celebrate all the hard work from this year! Questions contact Ms. Wiemer. 

“HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL” is coming to Mickle Middle School!!!!  Everyone is invited to come sing with us at our rehearsals beginning Thursday & Friday, April 26th & 27th.  We meet in the Choir Room 142 before school at 7:15 am and after school at 3:00 pm.  Our concert will be Thursday, May 17th!

Students our last collection for box tops this year will be Friday, May 4th.  Please continue to turn them in to your 1st period teacher.  Remember to have your name on the baggie so you will be eligible for the $5.00 movie passes.  All box tops help classes be in the running for the ice cream cakes from Dairy Queen.

Any current 8th grade girl who is interested in playing basketball at Lincoln Northeast next year, please see Ms. McVay for information regarding summer basketball teams & clinics.

Summer Registration forms for ETS are in the counseling center.  ETS students please stop by and get one.  Summer program is from June 6- July 13 at UNL and it is FREE.
