Read Across America Celebration!
This year we celebrated our 7th Annual Read Across America Celebration! A big “Thank You” to all of our guest readers this year for making the day a huge success. West Lincoln students enjoyed great stories, and everyone got a free book to take home. What a wonderful way to celebrate reading!
Indigo Bridge Book Fair
We enjoyed a Book Fair! A local Lincoln bookstore, Indigo Bridge Books, hosted our fair. They sold books in the library during parent teacher conferences, and all proceeds benefited the West Lincoln Library. Thanks to Aja and Paige for making this a wonderful fair!
First Grade Animal Research Celebration
Here are some pics of the annual writing celebration hosted by First Grade. Every year First Grade shares their research projects with the Kindergartners, their first grade peers, and their parents. This year the First Graders’ writing was excellent and the artwork exceptional!
Experiments with Motion
Mrs. Gray’s third grade class experimented with motion using toy cars, rubber bands, pencils, tape and weights. The class split into six groups, and each group’s goal was to design a car that traveled farther than all the others. Watch a video of the results!
Winter Concert
The West Lincoln Chorus, Band, and Strings performed their winter concert for the whole school. They worked and practiced and performed wonderfully!
First Grade Writing Celebration
Every year, the first graders host a writing celebration and share their writing projects with the entire school. Here are pics of them sharing with peers, teachers, and parents. Nice job!
Book Fair
The Book Fair was a huge success! We sold $988 in books and earned over $400 in books for the library! Thanks to all who visited and purchased books.
Family Fitness Night
We were chilly, but we had a great time playing games! Thank you Mrs. Ruppert for all your hard work making this event a success!
