The mission of our Dawes Library Media Center is to engage and empower all learners to be critical users of information. We support and inspire all learners to access and use information thoughtfully, ethically, creatively, and effectively through rigorous and relevant learning experiences that integrate information literacy into the curriculum; foster a lifelong love of reading and learning; encourage collaboration and reflection; and increase student achievement. Our library is a safe haven where students and staff turn for the discovery of ideas, the joy of reading, and the power of information. We provide a balanced collection of resources that enhance the independent learning styles of all learners in our school and our community. At Dawes, We Care, We Learn, and We Hope as we continuously grow as learners and readers.
