Select Varsity Concert Choir is a mixed choir that meets during Block 3B, Monday through Friday. Members are selected by audition in the preceding spring for the following school year. In this class, students experience an advanced group singing curriculum where vocal technique, principles of music theory, music history, advanced choral literature, and rehearsal/performance etiquette are studied to prepare these young scholars for future study and/or to create autonomous musicians.

The choir performs 4 formal concerts per year as well as the LPS Large Group Contest.  In the past, Varsity Concert Choir has been selected to perform at the Nebraska Music Educators Conference in 2007, 2014, and 2019. In 2008, 2013, and 2018, this ensemble has also collaborated with Drake University. Varsity Concert Choir was also the workshop choir at the 2009 NMEA Conference at UNL. For 12 consecutive years (2006-2017), Varsity Concert Choir performed on the Omaha Symphony Collaborative Concert at the Holland Performing Arts Center.
