Welcome to Preschool! Another school year is here already. I’m really looking forward to having your child in my class and partnering closely together. We have lots of learning and fun ahead of us! Our class will spend the first few weeks getting to know each other while reviewing skills and learning procedures so that we can have a successful school year.
I want to share a few things about myself . This will be my 17th year with Lincoln Public Schools. The majority of my teaching has been with Early Childhood either teaching or as an Education Specialist. I have also taught computers and 2nd grade. The last 6 years I have been teaching 2nd grade, which I loved but I am happy to be back in preschool. I went to Hastings College for my BA and Doane University to receive my Masters in Education Leadership.
My family includes my husband, Cody and our three kids. My oldest is Jacee who is 15 years old, going into 10th grade. Corben is 12 years old and he will be going into 7th grade and my youngest is Myra. She is going to be a 6th grader. We live south of Lincoln so they attend Norris. We also have two dogs: Pieper and Forest plus farm cats.
My favorite things to do center around being outdoors. Our family loves to go camping, fishing, boating, running, biking and playing sports. In the winter, we like to go snow skiing. My kids are very involved in sports so we do lots of traveling to all the kid’s games.
I believe in relationships and connecting with your child so that they feel safe and loved. Our school rules focus around being safe, respectful and responsible.
It is an absolute honor to have the privilege to teach your child at Adams Elementary School this year. I cannot wait to get to know each of their personalities and help them grow as both a learner and a person. We are going to have a fantastic year.
Please feel free to contact me at anytime. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org or the school’s number is 436-1121. Looking forward to a great year!
