DAR Scholarships provide the means to help students receive a higher education. In 2019-2019, $273,000 was awarded. Scholarships are now available in the areas of history, political science, government, economics, business, nursing, occupational/physical therapy, medical, law, English, science, math, chemistry, music, horticulture, elementary and secondary teaching. All 26-scholarship applications are submitted electronically via e-mail to the National Vice Chairman in charge of the specific scholarship. The email address for each scholarship is located on public websites and on the top of each of the scholarship’s application form.
General Scholarship Information
All applicants must be citizens of the United States and must attend or plan to attend an accredited college or university in the United States. DAR chapter sponsorship is not required; however, a chapter or state chairman may work with the applicant to put the information together to send to the DAR Scholarship Committee.
