Camp Kesem is a national non-profit with chapters on over 70 college campuses, seeking to provide support for children who have or had a parent with cancer. One of the biggest ways it helps these kids and their families is by providing a free week of summer camp to the kids, allowing them to be surrounded by other individuals who have been in a similar situation but also giving them the chance to let loose and have fun for a week. Camp Kesem UNL is in our 4th year as a chapter and will be opening up camp to 80 children age 6-16 for during June 5-10th.
Camp Kesem is also currently looking for Counselors in Training (CITs), campers ages 17-18, to be a part of our program. The CIT programming, along with regular camp programming, provides leadership developments.
Applications for all aged campers (6-18) are open and available at https://campscui.active.com/orgs/CampKesem .
More information about CKUNL can be found at www.campkesem.org/nebraska or on the Facebook page, Camp Kesem at University of Nebraska.
