This competition provides an opportunity for high school students to creatively learn the values of BBB – trust, honesty, reliability and objectiveness – helping them discover how these ideals can be applied in their everyday lives. Contestants will gain valuable marketing experience because they are also challenged to get the most views on the contest’s website by promoting their video that will be posted on:

  1. bbbvideocontest.org/omaha-swiowa for all high school students who reside in Metro Omaha and in Southwest Iowa
  2. 2. bbbvideocontest.org/lincoln-greaterne for all high school students who reside in Metro Lincoln and in Greater Nebraska

Students may enter individually or form teams of two to four people. First and second place prizes will be awarded in both Metro Omaha/Southwest Iowa and in Metro Lincoln/Greater Nebraska. Five hundred dollars cash will be given to the creator(s) of the winning videos, and a $2,000 donation of video equipment will be given to their schools. In addition, $250 cash will be awarded to the second place videos, and $1,000 for video equipment will be given to their schools. Winners will be determined by how well the entry adheres to BBB’s brand, expresses the theme “Start With Trust” or “Ask BBB,” the quality of the video’s production and how many times it’s been viewed on bbbvideocontest.org.

BBB will accept entries from Monday, February 3, 2020 – Friday, February 28, 2020. The winners will be announced on Friday, March 13, 2020.

More details about the contest can be accessed by clicking on this link: http://bbb.org/h/jzux.

Three high school seniors from Metro Omaha/Southwest Iowa and three students from Metro Lincoln/Greater Nebraska will each be granted $2,000 college scholarships. These awards are not based on ethnicity, need or grade point average, but recognize students who exemplify ethical behavior and personal integrity, and who demonstrate humility, courage, compassion and respect for their peers, teachers and community — values of the BBB.

The application guide with complete instructions and required forms can be accessed at bbb.org/nebraska by clicking on “Student of Integrity Award Scholarships” box. Applications must be postmarked by Friday, March 6, 2020 and sent to BBB’s office in Omaha to be considered by the judges. Scholarship winners will be announced in April.
