Asian Center Scholarship

Application Deadline:  April 12th, 2019 (postmarked by that date if mailed)

Multiple $500 scholarships will be awarded to Asian/Asian-American students who will graduate from a high school in Lincoln this year. Exceptions can be made for students with non-Asiatic roots who have substantially contributed to the Asian Center through volunteer work or have participated in its youth programs.

Pound Middle School Essay Scholarships 2019

 submissions are due via e-mail, or postmarked by Wednesday, May 1, 2019.

 Two $250 scholarships will be granted for the winning essays. The scholarships will be paid directly to the post-secondary institution requested by winning recipient.

Lancaster County Farm Bureau is offering two $1000 scholarships in each grade level that enroll in the CASNER program at the University of Nebraska. Go to the scholarship program and apply for these scholarships. There are also two $1000 scholarships available each year to the NE College of Technical Agriculture at Curtis.

They are also giving $1000 scholarships to two students at each of the Milford, Beatrice, and Lincoln Campuses of Southeast Community College in the following programs:

  1. Agriculture Business and Management Technology
  2. Building Construction Technology
  3. Electrical and Electromechanical Technology
  4. John Deere Construction and Forestry Equipment Technology
  5. Diesel Ag Equipment Services Technology
  6. Diesel Technology – Truck
  7. John Deere Technology
  8. Welding Technology

All Participants need to be from Lancaster County or affiliated with a Lancaster County Farm Bureau member.

College of Saint Mary’s Summer Academies

College of Saint Mary’s summer academies is a unique one-week opportunity for Latina and African/ African-American girls designed to prepare students for success in education beyond high school. During the academy, students will learn how to prepare for college entrance, take college-like courses, participate in cultural activities and live in a college residence hall.  Academy participants must be upcoming 10th or 11th graders.

Priority admission will be granted to those who complete the application by Monday, April 15, 2019.

The final application deadline is Friday, May 31, 2019.
