Applications are now available for the 2019 University of Nebraska–Lincoln DREAMBIG Academy. This FREE program is a great opportunity for students to learn about business, their strengths and how they can leverage them in a career. Please spread the word to your high school juniors about the DREAMBIG Academy held July 21-25, 2019. You can nominate students and tell them to apply at:

Those who apply should meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Current high school junior with a 2.5 GPA or higher
  • First generation college student
  • Qualifies for free and reduced lunch program
  • Experience with diverse communities
  • Interested in business

The deadline to apply is Friday, March 15.

Attending the DREAMBIG Academy will qualify students for the Nebraska Emerging Leaders Scholarship, worth $8,000 over the course of four years.

Summer Workshop

The Jeffrey S. Raikes School of Computer Science and Management at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln is pleased to announce a summer learning opportunity for high school students. We are hosting “Innovate: The Raikes School Way” and “Girls Who Innovate: The Raikes School Way”, computer science workshops that will be led by Executive Director of the Raikes School, Steve Cooper. Students will participate in a two-week, project based, on-campus workshop, where they will learn basic programming skills and receive instruction from Nebraska faculty, as well as have an opportunity to experience what classes can be like in the Raikes School.

Cost: $525 (limited need-based scholarship opportunities are available)
