High school students and families are thinking about preparation for the ACT, the nation’s most popular college entrance exam.

We would like to inform you about ACT preparation opportunities and college planning resources available for Lincoln Public School students that are approved by our school district.

For your information: All LPS students take the ACT exam for free as a junior in high school as part of statewide testing.  Students also can pay a fee to take the test additional times if they choose.

LPS approved ACT preparation opportunities and college planning resources:

In addition to the ACT embedded curriculum your child receives within their high school courses, here are additional approved resources for ACT prep and college planning:

ACT Online Prep (AOP): This tool will be free to juniors for one year after signing in. Schools will share login information this fall after accounts have been set up. Seniors, who were LPS students during the 2016-17 school year, and used the free tool last year, will have access until December 2017.  Other students who want this extra practice can sign-up for a personal account through ACT.

ACT Practice tests are located at actstudent.org: Scroll to the bottom of the page for free resources or click on this link:  http://www.act.org/content/dam/act/unsecured/documents/Preparing-for-the-ACT.pdf
