The Davis-Chambers Scholarship at UNK

Recognizes academically promising students from diverse racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds who find that the financial requirements of postsecondary education are a major obstacle. Qualified applicants must be Nebraska residents who have graduated from a Nebraska high school. Award amounts are between $2,000 to $4,000 per year. The Lincoln Home Builders Care Foundation will award five scholarships to seniors who are entering the construction field, i.e. electrical, plumbing, construction management, architecture or other design fields. A $1000 scholarship will be awarded to a student who has a parent, grandparent or other relative who owns or is employed by a member of the Home Builders Assoc. of Lincoln. Independent Insurance Agents of Lincoln Scholarships

Three $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to students that choose to attend an accredited 2 or 4-year college or higher learning institute in Nebraska.  Selection will be based on scholastic application, as well as participation and leadership in school, community activities, and educational goals.  It is recommended that the applicant intend to major in business or a business-related field (i.e. Accounting, Business, Economics, Sales & Marketing, and Finance).

Goodrich Scholarship Program

The Goodrich Scholarship Program is available at UNO offers tuition/general fees, textbook support, a special curriculum (which is part of UNO’s General Education Curriculum), and academic/non-academic support services.  The application deadline is Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 5:00PM (CST).  Applicants can apply online at https://goodrich.fluidreview.com/February 20, 2016 will be the last available date for the English Placement and Proficiency Exam (EPPE) to be eligible for our application process (as testing must be posted by the March 1, 2016 deadline). Please note that all applicants are required to take this free exam.

The Salvation Army 2016 D.J.’s Hero Scholarship

Chasers Charities-Robinson Athletic Scholarship

Chief Standing Bear Scholarship

Seniors who will be attending a higher-education institution (e.g. four-year college/university, community college, tribal college, technical school, etc.) in the upcoming fall term. Eligibility Requirements 1.) Student must be an enrolled tribal member and able to provide proof of tribal affiliation. 2.) The applicant must be a Nebraska resident. 3.) The applicant must submit the scholarship application, scholarship essay, and letter of reference.

The Nebraska Association for the Gifted: Leta Hollingworth Scholarship

Southeast Community College Automotive Summer Camp

Students interested in becoming an Automotive Technician can explore the Southeast Community College’s Automotive Technology program by enrolling in the 2016 Automotive Summer Camp. The camp runs June 10th & 11th on SCC’s Milford Campus. The camp is limited to 60 participants, on a first come basis, 16 years old or more. Registration information is available in the LNE Counseling Center. The cost is $29 and includes tools, meals, housing, and transportation to a special activity.

US Air Force Academy Summer Programs

Summer Seminar: Summer Seminar offers a unique opportunity to experience the Air Force Academy first-hand. It is specially designed for high school juniors heading into their senior year to get a realistic perspective of cadet life. Students will live in the dormitories, eat at the Academy’s dining facility, explore the various academic/military programs and courses that the Academy has to offer, and participate in a variety of different physical fitness activities (to include a practice CFA). The application is open from 1 December 2015 to 15 January 2016, and it is free to apply. There are two sessions: 12-17 June 2016 and 19-24 June 2016. Student may apply here.

STEM Engineering and Construction Camp: This camp is designed to provide high school students with a world-class experience in STEM skills following a “Build the Design” model. This one week program is supervised and led by engineers and located at the U.S. Air Force Academy. The program runs from 7-13 July 2016. Learn more information or apply now.
