A First Day … at Lincoln High School with Emma Rathe

Three years ago, Emma Rathe made the choice of which high school she wanted to attend. She chose the one closest to her, and today, she couldn’t be happier with that choice: Lincoln High School. On her first day of her senior year, Emma helped juniors get their class schedules and ID badges, picked up her own schedule and ID, and ventured off to her classes. We were there, too, capturing the spirit of the day. Watch our video to see a typical first day of school for a proud Link. (Posted with permission from LPS.)

ACT Scores Increase at The High!

It was reported in the paper last week good news of our ACT Test results from last year’s senior class. The total number of students taking the ACT increased from 140 to 243, a very large increase in only one year. At the same time the composite score increased from 22.5 to 23. This is a big gain, particularly with the large increase in the number of students. (The national average is 21.0 and the state average is 22.1) “Another Lincoln High Job Well Done!!” For the article, click here. See the statistics here (both used with permission).

Wah Poe enjoyed the LHS Bridge Program!

Lincoln High 9th grader, Wah Poe, enjoyed the Bridge Program held at Lincoln High prior to school opening this past summer. He mentioned that climbing the ropes was the best part and he also enjoyed reconnecting with friends. What is on his mind today? It is still easy to get lost at Lincoln High given how large the building is with so many hallways! Wah proudly wears his Bridge Program t-shirt. He should be thankful that he wasn’t forced to wear the beanies that the early classes of Lincoln High were forced to wear. Watch for more postings from the Bridge Program activities coming soon!
