STUDENT NEWS:
- 7th grade girls basketball practice is today after school until 4:30.
- If you are going to Washington D.C. and would like to get ideas for fundraising, there will be a meeting at 6:00 p.m. in Ms. Fowler’s room (C21) Tuesday, November 18. If you have questions see Ms. Fowler.
- Love acting, speech, or debate? Sign up for Intramural Drama, Speech, and Debate”. Ask your English teacher or come to the office to get a registration form.
- Lefler Student Council will be holding a “Penny Wars” fundraiser during the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving Break. Containers will be set out during Grab-and-Go Breakfast and lunch during that time. Students may bring any spare change or bills to donate. Pennies placed in each container will count for positive points, while all other types of money will count for negative points. The grade level that wins will receive a movie afternoon sponsored by student council on November 25. Staff will also be participating and will receive an extra t-shirt and jeans day during December. Our goal is to raise $400, with the proceeds aimed at feeding needy Lefler families for Thanksgiving, and also toward a large donation on Lefler’s behalf around the holidays.
- Have you ever wondered what is beyond Monopoly, Clue, Yahtzee and Candy Land, then listen up! Would you like to play games that require you to outwit and outmaneuver your opponents? Then consider joining Lefler’s new Strategic Game Club. We’ll play games like Chess, Risk, Settlers of Catan, Nim, Chomp and more! If interested, talk with Mr. Herres or Mrs. Cleveland. This club will meet every Thursday in B33 starting November 20th.

- Write positive notes of thanks to teachers, counselors, or other staff through November 25.
