STUDENT NEWS:

  • 8th grade girls basketball practice is today after school until 4:30.
  • 7th and 8th grade girls’ volleyball social will be after school from 3:00-4:00 in B3.
  • Attention students: please refer to the Student Handbook regarding Appropriate Dress and our Lefler Student Appearance Policy regarding the following announcement. Costumes of any form are not permitted to be worn at school on Friday, October 31. Please save your dress-up attire for after school hours. Thank you!
  • The Lincoln Lighthouse is having their annual Haunted House event this Friday, October 31st. Free food and drinks! Come to the front office to pick up a flier if you are interested.
  • Have you heard about the IB Program at Lincoln High? Does it sound like something that you would like to do? Would you like to know more about it? Come to IB Academy Day! Bring your family and friends on Saturday, November 8th to Lincoln High to experience first-hand what this program is all about.
  • If you enjoy writing, please consider entering the Patriot Pen Essay Contest. The 2014-15 theme is, “Why I Appreciate America’s Veterans”. Conducted nationwide, this VFW sponsored youth essay competition gives students an opportunity to write essays expressing their views on democracy. We invite you to join the more than 104,000 students who participated last year in this contest. The top 46 national winners all receive at least $500. The first-place national award is currently $5,000, plus an all-expense paid trip to Washington, D.C. for the winner and a parent or guardian. The deadline to submit your essay is November 13. If you are interested come to the front office for an application.
