Here are more things you can do with Photoshop Elements. The video tutorials below were created with version 10, but some of them can be done with other current versions. Each video explains the version required. Enjoy!
Text on a Shape or Path
See how new Type tools in Photoshop Elements v.10 make it easy to have text follow a shape or a custom path.
The Smart Brush, introduced in version 8, selects and enhances at the same time, based on pre-designed Smart Brush enhancements. The mouse becomes a quick selection tool that selects and adds enhancements at the same time.
The Orton Effect
The Orton Effect (new in version 10) is a quick Guided Edit that turns any picture into a dreamy glamor shot.
Out of Bounds
Out of Bounds is a Guided Edit introduced in version 9 that makes it look like part of the image is extended beyond the border.
Picture Stack is a Guided Edit introduced in version 10 that breaks up the image into a chosen number of pieces so that it looks a little like a collage. This effect is also called a Snapshot Collage.
If you don’t have version 10 and can’t do the Picture Stack (above), you can do this Image Collage effect with Photoshop Elements version 9, or any recent version of Photoshop. This is a great lesson to teach students about layer masks.
This Starburst Effect can be done in nearly any version of Photoshop Elements or Photoshop. Turn a plain background into lighting effects with bling!
