From the Principal
Welcome to the Kloefkorn Elementary School website, one of Lincoln Public Schools’ newer schools which opened in August 2012. We are the home of the Kloefkorn Cubs!
We are starting our fifth year, 2016-17, serving 470 students, Pre-K-5th grade. In the first four years, Kloefkorn has built strong traditions focused on academic excellence and a foundation honoring, Bill Kloefkorn, late Nebraska Poet, whom the school is named after. We will continue to keep traditions such as Kloefkornucopia parade held in May of each school year.
I am looking forward to being the 2nd principal of Kloefkorn Elementary School. Our community surrounding Kloefkorn continues to expand and develop—so I know we too; will continue to grow. My personal vision fits the school’s mission. I want to honor the past, continue high achievement, develop, inspire, and celebrate students’ abilities creating leaders for the future.
Students at Kloefkorn are provided with balanced instructional program that is aligned with the Lincoln Public Schools curriculum standards. Our specialists are art, music, physical education, and technology. They collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure that every child is successful.
My personal vision for the school is prepare students to understand how they learn and learn to the highest level, teach and guide them in becoming giving and caring citizens in their community. Kloefkorn is a place where excellent teaching and learning is of most importance! Our mission at Kloefkorn School is to HONOR the past, ACHIEVE excellence in the present, and INSPIRE leaders for the future.
We are very fortunate to have strong parent leaders including an active PTO, which focuses their efforts on improving and increasing learning opportunities for Kloefkorn students (Pre-K-5th grade). We encourage parents to join and become active in our school. We are so fortunate to have a strong Kloefkorn community.
I am honored to be Kloefkorn’s principal and I look forward to serving this community. If there is anything you need, please give me a call at 402-436-1148 or send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Go Kloefkorn Cubs,
