From the Principal
Welcome to the Kloefkorn Elementary School web site! Kloefkorn, Lincoln Public Schools’ newest elementary school, opened in August 2012. In our fourth year (2015-16), we are planning to welcome 497 students ranging Preschool through Grade 5. We are extremely proud to carry the name of distinguished, late Nebraska State Poet, Bill Kloefkorn.
I am honored to be the first principal of Kloefkorn School and have enjoyed meeting our students and families. The exciting and energizing work we have engaged in begins with imagining the place we want Kloefkorn School to be, and then working to make our dreams reality. Developing our school vision continues to be a collective venture, and ultimately influences the decisions we make about policies, practices, and procedures. We will change and grow as we establish ourselves as a strong community of learners – staff, students, and families.
My personal vision for Kloefkorn School is clear… To create a safe, engaging, and welcoming learning environment where EXCELLENCE in teaching and learning thrives. Our mission at Kloefkorn School is to HONOR the past, ACHIEVE excellence in the present, and INSPIRE leaders for the future.
Please explore the Kloefkorn School website often – especially the Calendar – as important information about news, upcoming events, etc. will be updated regularly.
