Today is a ‘Y’ Day

  • TheLPS Oral Spelling Bee will be Saturday, Feb. 9 at Culler Middle School. The Spelling Bee is open to students in grades 5-8. Check the LPS website for more info.
  • Eighth graders! Tonight(Jan. 23rd) is Lincoln High School’s rescheduled information night which will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Lincoln High.
  • Students, if you’re not feeling well, please go to the health office instead of calling or texting your parents from your phone. The health office can help you call home. Do not call from the main office or from the classroom.
  • The North Star boys’ basketball team invite all 3rd through 8th grade boys to participate in their Meet the Gators Night on Saturday, Feb. 2nd. The afternoon and evening will include a basketball clinic led by Gator players and coaches, along with game admission, meal, t-shirt, team poster, and more. The registration fee is $25. Registration forms are available from Mrs. Heusinkvelt.
  • The Change for Change drive will kick off today (Jan. 22nd)! This year the money is being collected to go toward buying overseas families a goat (and possibly other farm animals) to help them have an opportunity for a sustainable income. Seventh and 8th graders turn in change to their first period class, and 6th graders to their third period class. The class that collects the most in each grade level will earn a party (pizza or donuts).
  • Attention all muggles and non-muggles (we know you’re out there)! The brand-new Harry Potter Club will start on Friday, Jan. 25th after school in the multipurpose room. Get sorted into a house! Are you Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, or Slytherin? Come and enjoy some butterbeer! If you have any questions, please see Ms. Cook or Mrs. Taurins in the office.
