Today is a ‘Y’ Day

 

  • TheLPS Oral Spelling Bee will be Saturday, Feb. 9 at Culler Middle School. The Spelling Bee is open to students in grades 5-8. Check the LPS website for more info.
  • Eighth graders! Tonight(Jan. 23rd) is Lincoln High School’s rescheduled information night which will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Lincoln High.
  • Students, if you’re not feeling well, please go to the health office instead of calling or texting your parents from your phone. The health office can help you call home. Do not call from the main office or from the classroom.
  • The North Star boys’ basketball team invite all 3rd through 8th grade boys to participate in their Meet the Gators Night on Saturday, Feb. 2nd. The afternoon and evening will include a basketball clinic led by Gator players and coaches, along with game admission, meal, t-shirt, team poster, and more. The registration fee is $25. Registration forms are available from Mrs. Heusinkvelt.
  • The Change for Change drive will kick off today (Jan. 22nd)! This year the money is being collected to go toward buying overseas families a goat (and possibly other farm animals) to help them have an opportunity for a sustainable income. Seventh and 8th graders turn in change to their first period class, and 6th graders to their third period class. The class that collects the most in each grade level will earn a party (pizza or donuts).
  • Attention all muggles and non-muggles (we know you’re out there)! The brand-new Harry Potter Club will start on Friday, Jan. 25th after school in the multipurpose room. Get sorted into a house! Are you Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, or Slytherin? Come and enjoy some butterbeer! If you have any questions, please see Ms. Cook or Mrs. Taurins in the office.

Today is a ‘Y’ Day

  • Joel’s class was the winner for the SOAR group who collected the most for the Food Fight food drive.  Thanks to all who donated money, food, and time to helping fight hunger in Lincoln.
  • Lego Club will meet next Monday (11/12) from 3 to 4 p.m. in Room 213.

Today is an ‘X’ Day

  • Interested in a unique and challenging high school experience? Arts & Humanities invites you to their Open House at 643 S. 25th St. today (Nov. 8th)from 6-7 p.m.
  • Students are not allowed to wait outside after 3:15. If your ride has not arrived by that time, you must wait in the media center. You will be called out when your ride arrives. You also cannot leave the school grounds and return to ride the late bus.
  • Just a reminder that there is no Skyhawk Singers practice this Friday(Nov. 9th). If you need a schedule please let Mrs. Jurgens know!
  • Board Game, Science Quiz Bowl, and Student Peace will meet today (Nov. 8th) from 3 to 4 p.m.

Today is an ‘X’ Day

  • Students, if you’re not feeling well, please go to the health office instead of calling or texting your parents from your phone. The health office can help you call home. Do not call from the main office or from the classroom.
  • As the weather cools, please remember to bring your coat when you go to lunch/recess. You will not be allowed back in the locker area once you have left for lunch/recess.
  • Seventh and 8th grade girls’ basketball team placement days start the Wednesday after fall break, Oct. 17th. Be sure to sign up for sports on GOOGLE CLASSROOM using the code: PAD0KP (that is the number zero).
  • FabLab Club, French Club, Math Counts, Anime Club, and Native American Club will meet tomorrow (Oct. 10th) from 3 to 4 p.m.
  • One Book One Schoo Reading Club will meet in the Media Center tomorrow (Oct. 10th) at 7:40 a.m.
