We are working on making good choices at school.  We teach a lesson about being a “no” kid or a “now” kid.  “No” kids do not follow directions and have difficulty letting teachers be in charge.  “Now” kids do what they are asked to do right away.  We told students about the rule of three.  The rule of three is:

1.   Say yes or okay

2.   Calm voice and face

3.   Do it in 3 seconds or less

To encourage students to be now kids, we sometimes give out little papers with minion on them, that say, “WOW!, I am a NOW kid.”
