I have been a science educator in Lincoln Public Schools for the past 23 years. This is my eighth year at Lux Middle School. Prior to that I taught 15 years at Irving Middle School. I enjoy greatly getting to work with all of my students. My interests in science are many and follow me in not only my professional life, but in my personal life too.

Hi to you as well. Thanks for checking out my simple web site!
hi
Thank you so much for you extremely kind words. It means a great deal to know that I have done anything to make your year go well and inspire you to go into science. You might be interested to know that I was not always outgoing. When I was your age, I kept to myself and a small group of friends. Teaching has helped me open up. Once you find your passion and want to share it with others it changes who you are. I know you will have many more awesome teachers in the year ahead. I don’t know for sure who you are, but I wish you all the best! Thanks so much for a great year and your thoughtful words!
Hi Mrs. Cockle! Thank you so much for helping make this past school year an awesome one! You have inspired me in so many ways and have helped me see the world in a different way. When I get older I hope to become a science teacher just like you! Even though I’m not sure if I can ever be as great as you are, considering that I’m not as outgoing as some people are, I will try my best. Thanks so much for all you have done. I can’t put into words how much you have impacted my life and inspired me. You may end up forgetting me, but I will always remember you as one of my favorite teachers. However, I am pretty sure you are the best teacher I have ever had and ever will have in my life. I also know that you have inspired many other people besides myself. This is because my friends and I have had multiple conversations talking about how great you are and how we wish you could always be our science teacher. Take care, and have a dazzling summer! 😀
Hi! To get to the textbook website google search phschool.com, then get on sciecne page. You are looking for “interactive textbook”. Click on that and then it will have a login page. The login user name is luxsci and the password is bolt77. Hope this helps!
Hey Mrs. Cockle does that one book website thing have our actual book because i left mine in my locker…:/ just wondering if it does how do I get it? Thanks
Hi Austin, Try looking at the top of the page, above the tree picture and you will find the words “homework”. Click on Homework and you will be there!
I cannot find the code word at all 🙁
Hi Nathan!
Wow! What an excellent web-site. I thought of your 8th grade teachers, I hope they know of this site- one of your units is Astronomy and Light. What is so neat about this era in time is there is so much information out there – all one needs is an interest and the time to read and learn. One could spend hours on this site alone! Thanks for sharing – you have given me many great ideas and insights this past school year. I hope you are having a good break so far! Take Care!
A good solar system info site :

Hi Nathan,
You did most excellent on the CRT! Thanks for the two web sites. I will check them out. I appreciate your thinking of me. I always like to check out science related web-sites!
felt good about the CRT today!!(:
The textbook site is called phschool.com You were given earlier in the year a handout that walked you through how to get on. Most have figured it out. You end up having to use your school given user number and password. Hope this helps!
hi mrs. cockle… what was the name of the online textbook again???
Sure Nathan, that would be great. You can send it to my email kcockle@lps.org. I will try to check it out this weekend!!
Do you need a link to the online video I was talking about with the ape clarification and evolution?
Hi Phil!
