2015-2016 is my first year teaching at Lincoln Southwest High School.  I come to you from Omaha Burke.  This will be my second year of teaching!

Before teaching, I worked at a local hospital for nearly ten years in the operating room.  My career as a surgical technologist was and is fulfilling (I still work during holidays).  I scrubbed predominantly orthopedic cases, but could also be found doing general surgeries as well as plastics.  Although I was thrilled with my position as a surgical technologist, I was looking for a change.  The education that I had in the sciences lent itself to becoming a teacher.  I am endorsed to teach all biology and physical science classes.  I have a Bachelor’s degree in Allied Health and have a Master’s degree in Education.

I’m excited to be back in Lincoln after commuting to Omaha and I’m excited to meet all of the students at Lincoln Southwest and learn more about the school.

Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to meeting you in person!
