Welcome to Kahoa

Kahoa Elementary school was built in 1972. We are located at 7700 Leighton Ave. We have moved back into a newly remodeled building. Kahoa has a student body of over 500 students. We are proud of our high academic standards and the performance of our students on such standardized tests like the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) and the Nebraska State Writing (NeSA-W) and Reading (NeSA-R) assessments. Technology is important to our mission and each third, fourth and fifth grade classrooms are outfitted with Promethean Boards. At Kahoa we provide students with the highest quality instruction while also focusing on educating the whole child.

Welcome to the Kahoa Website. Kahoa provides an excellent learning environment for students and staff. We enjoy an active Parent-Teacher Organization and tremendous support from our families. Improvements to Kahoa are ever present. School wide goals provide the framework upon which we build.

These goals include:

1. Increasing student scores in reading comprehension and mathematical procedures and
2. Increasing teacher’s technology knowledge.

Dedicated staff are continually seeking to improve professionally each day to provide students with the best possible learning environments and experiences.
